How do I order SniperSpy Mac online?
After you have decided to purchase, go to the purchase page and select your billing preference. Follow the screens and enter the requested information to purchase online. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards and PayPal for online purchases. After your order completes you will immediately receive an email containing a link to download your software and instructions for installation/usage.

What charge will show on my card?

How do I cancel my subscription?
New customers of SniperSpy are not automatically rebilled. Instead they are given the option to renew at the end of their purchased license. However, customers previous to December 10, 2011, can easily cancel their automatic billing by contacting us online or by phone at 1-(888)-475-5345 to let us know you wish to cancel. Your subscription will be canceled at that point and no further billing will ensue. Also, your SniperSpy Mac account will be disabled at that time from further use. It is recommended once you cancel your subscription to remove SniperSpy Macfrom all devices associated with your account.

Do you provide software updates?
Yes. When you purchase a Retina-X Studios, LLC subscription-based product, you will receive free updates and upgrades for as long as you remain subscribed.

Does SniperSpy work on my Internet connection?
SniperSpy works on ANY Internet connection. It doesn't matter if you have a high-speed connection or a 56k connection. The activity logs are very small thus they can be sent in total stealth using virtually any Internet connection To use the LIVE Control Panel it's recommended that your monitored Macintosh have a high speed connection..

What versions of Mac OS is SniperSpy compatible with?
SniperSpy works with Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard / Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard.

Can anyone review recorded data besides me?
Our server keeps your files safe and secure. Nobody else can access your activity without your secret password.

Will users know SniperSpy is installed once they execute it?
The only way they will know is if you enabled the Warning Message option at startup when installing the software. If you didn't choose that option then nothing will be displayed to notify the user However it is your responsibility to notify the user if you are legally liable to do so..

Can I install SniperSpy remotely?
No, SniperSpy Mac MUST be installed directly onto the Mac computer to be monitored. This program CANNOT be installed remotely or via e-mail transmission.

How do I view the recorded data captured from SniperSpy?
After you have installed SniperSpy on the target Mac, you should login to your online Viewer panel using your username and password to view data recorded by SniperSpy.

Why did my logs stop updating?
The first thing to try is to login to your SniperSpy account, then click the LOGOUT link. This will cause your logs to start uploading again in ten minutes in case you forgot to click LOGOUT the last time you used the Live Control Panel. Please remember you should always click the logout link when you are finished or the logs will pause uploading.

If you have already done this, and your logs have stopped for less than 48 hours then its too soon to know whether you need to re-install. The computer could simply be turned off or not connected to the internet right now.

If you can, have the remote user reboot the computer this may help. A reboot will allow the software to upload logs after a successful internet connection. All pending logs will upload at that time and be viewable in your SniperSpy account.

If two days pass and no logs are uploaded, then you should re-install SniperSpy onto the target computer. Please make sure you are using the latest version of SniperSpy. If you need the latest version then please see the Upgrade Center.

What is the hot-key sequence to bring up the Logger window?
To access the Logger window, first close all open windows and applications. Then, press and hold CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + S. A pop-up window asking for the Logger password box will appear if done successfully.

How do I change the hot-key sequence?
To change the hot-key sequence for the Logger window, first bring up the Logger window by using the current hot-key sequence. Once you enter the password and the Logger window appears, click on Configure in the top-left corner in the Apple toolbar. Next, select Preferences. Then, in the Change Hotkey field, enter in the hot-key sequence you want to use, making sure to put a "+" in between each key. Click Change to save this change and then Save to save the change. You can then exit the Logger window.

What is the password for the Logger window?
The default password for the Logger window is retinax. This can be changed to a user-defined password by following these steps.

How do I change the password for the Logger window?
To change the password for the Logger window, first bring up the Logger window by using the hot-key sequence. Once you enter the password and the Logger window appears, click on Configure in the top-left corner in the Apple toolbar. Next, select Preferences. Then, check the Change Password box, and input the current password (the default is retinax) in the Old Password field. Next, enter in the new password in the New Password and Confirm Password field. Click Save to save the new password for the Logger Window.

Why is my username and password not being accepted?
Be sure that you are typing your username and password in EXACTLY as indicated when you setup your account. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

How do I retrieve a lost password?
To retrieve your online control panel password, click the lost password page to have it sent to your email address.

How do I change my SniperSpy Viewer password?
To change your SniperSpy Viewer password, first login to your account. Then click the "Change Password" link on the left side menu. Enter your current password and the new password twice to confirm.

How do I uninstall SniperSpy?
To uninstall SniperSpy, first bring up the Logger window by using the hot-key sequence. Once you enter the password and the Logger window appears, click on Configure in the top-left corner in the Apple toolbar. Next, select Preferences. Then, click Uninstall SniperSpy and follow any on-screen prompts that may appear. SniperSpy will stop monitoring at that time and fully uninstall upon next power on,
