How do I order SniperSpy Mac online?
After you have decided to purchase, go to the purchase page and select your billing preference. Follow the screens and enter the requested information to purchase online. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards and PayPal for online purchases. After your order completes you will immediately receive an email containing a link to download your software and instructions for installation/usage.

What charge will show on my card?
The charge for any software on our site will appear as "NetPaySys" or "retinax.com"

How secure is the order process?

How do I cancel my subscription?
You can easily cancel your automatic billing by contacting us online to let us know you wish to cancel. Your subscription will be canceled at that point and no further billing will ensue. Also, your SniperSpy Mac account will be disabled at that time from further use. It is recommended once you cancel your subscription to remove SniperSpy Mac from all Macs associated with your account.

Do you provide software updates?
Yes. When you purchase a Retina-X Studios, LLC subscription-based product, you will receive free updates and upgrades for as long as you remain subscribed.

Product Usage Questions

 

Does SniperSpy work on my Internet connection?
SniperSpy works on ANY Internet connection. It doesn't matter if you have a high-speed connection or a 56k connection. To use the LIVE Control Panel it's recommended that your monitored Macintosh have a high speed connection.

What versions of the Mac OS X is SniperSpy compatible with?
SniperSpy works with Mac OS X up to v10.11.x.

Can anyone view my child's computer activities besides me?
No. Nobody else can access your online control panel or the local interface without your password.

Will my child know that SniperSpy is installed?
That is your choice. By default, the application will show a password-protected app icon on the desktop, and a notification about the computer being monitored will display every time the Mac computer starts. However, as a parent you have a right to discreetly monitor your underage child's computer usage on a computer you own. For this specific need, the icon and notification features can be turned off to further tamper-proof the application. If you are monitoring your employee on a company computer, you must ALWAYS have written consent from the employee beforehand.

Can I install SniperSpy remotely?
No, SniperSpy Mac MUST be installed directly onto the Mac computer to be monitored. This program CANNOT be installed remotely or via e-mail transmission.

How do I view the information logged from SniperSpy?
After you have installed SniperSpy on the target Mac, you should login to your online Viewer panel using your username and password to view information logged by SniperSpy.

How do I change the password for the Logger window?
To change the password for the Logger window, first bring up the Logger window by using the hot-key sequence. Once you enter the password and the Logger window appears, click on Configure in the top-left corner in the Apple toolbar. Next, select Preferences. Then, check the Change Password box, and input the current password (the default is retinax) in the Old Password field. Next, enter in the new password in the New Password and Confirm Password field. Click Save to save the new password for the Logger Window.

Why is my username and password not being accepted?
Be sure that you are typing your username and password in EXACTLY as indicated when you setup your account. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

How do I retrieve a lost password?
To retrieve your online control panel password, click the lost password page to have it sent to your email address.

How do I change my SniperSpy Viewer password?
To change your SniperSpy Viewer password, first login to your account. Then click the "Change Password" link on the left side menu. Enter your current password and the new password twice to confirm.

How do I uninstall SniperSpy?
To remotely uninstall SniperSpy from your Mac computer, simply login to your online control panel, click My Computer from the top menu, and click the Uninstall icon next to the computer that you want to remove the software. SniperSpy will be removed from the remote computer within thirty minutes.

To uninstall SniperSpy Mac from the monitored Macintosh, you will need to bring up the configuration interface first. Open the SniperSpy App icon and enter your email address and password. Then, once the configuration interface appears, click the Security tab, and click the Uninstall button.

How can I upgrade to the latest version?
